Cold Snap; A Sprinkling of Snow...

Been a cold week since Tuesday when we got snow showers which then froze and have not thawed much.
Been commuting to work on the pugsley and with the BAR MITTS fitted it has been toasty on the paws as temperatures have been bitterly despite only between 2 and -4C...

Scotland's East Coast has a strange temperature that can cut to the bone depending on how damp it is.
I do not know a lot about Mountain Survival except i know from reading that hypothermia is the biggest killer in Scotland out doors, And it is always the damp days when the roads to work do not dry , are the really bitter cold days...

Thursday evening down at North Berwick,  and at sunset the news predicted rain moving in from the west hitting the cold front on the east of the UK would turn to snow...

Friday was bitterly cold cycling to work and the door therometer at 230ft above sea level showed -4C
Minor roads were white having not been gritted since the previous evening...

As the day dawned we could see out to sea the front of snow moving up the coast...

Back at the shed and the snow showers blew in but they did not really lie for long...

Out over the course and despite the sun out it was still nippy...

After work i rode home offroad and it was great light between the snow showers...

My leg is ok, just track standing for the photo -:) ...

So no heavy snow here during the day as Scottish news forecasted but BBC Breakfast said any chance of snow would be early evening, and at around 5pm...

So looks like a fun weekend in store...
