Mid Summer; Midweek cycling...

It`s the light warm summer evenings... get out and ride!...

Many local field end rigs are overgrown with no use this summer...

But some along with old roads like this are regularly mowed by farmers...

I can cycle off road all the way from my house to Aberlady with under a mile of tarmac cycling...

Thanks to horses many trails are mowed and can link up old roads...

Quick loop of the old peri (perimeter) track of the former RAF WW2 Drem airfield...

Horses are stabled on top of the old  holding pens...

Quiet today...

It was a lot busier here in the July 1940...

Here 2014...

Here 1940...

Back along some field end rigs...

Looks like were going to get a sunset despite cloud at sea level...

Inland via some old roads...

This row of trees is amusing...

It is two rows of overgrown hedges...

Of a road to now where...

Broom broom!...

Up to the village of Athelstaneford...

Sunset at the birth place of Scotland's saltire flag...

Time for home...

And a cider...

Fire up the chiminea and sit out till dark at 23.00...
