Back cycling in the Borders...

I helped Francis with some course marking on some of a route for a Horse Endurance ride on today (Sunday) around Roxburgh,
Big skies and some threatening rain clouds blew across as we cycled with the dogs-another rescue Springer come to stay until re homed...

Dust was blowing across the fields in the strong wind, it was soon dampened by a short heavy rain shower...

That soon passed and red rosy faces chilled from the cold rain were soon warmed up again in the sunshine!...

The Borders has some lovely quiet country roads to cycle with great views...

Some many old railway line tracks and unmaintained roads too... here an old railway cottage...

No Ned's around here as still intact stove :)

The Surly KramPug with it`s 2.5" Maxxis Minion tyres set up tubeless (with split tubes) meant no worries about thorn punctures...

Of course Francis`s £20 old Trek just keeps going!, it is getting a bit creaky and needs some TLC...

There was some fresh snow on the Cheviot hill to our south...

With a loop marked it was back towards Roxburgh along the old Railway line path again

More soon...
