Sunday morning cycle at Seacliff

With a week until the shortest day any day that is overcast the light is very flat and there is not a lot of colour around, unless you look at the ground...

It was trails of leaves i rode on to the coast early on Sunday morning on the old Pugsley...

The flat light of an overcast winter day fails to dull the magnificent view of Tantallon Castle perched on the cliffs...

Or the Bass Rock - Bastian of the Forth...

Smaller in size but a whole range of colours was this rock art someone has done...

The light is flat but through low light lenses things look better...

I shot some film east of Seacliff beach along to the Pefferburn (East Peffer) estuary at Scoughall Farm. Again despite the black and white sky and grey sea the sandstone rocks are always a variety of red and brown...

The big swells that pushed in from the North Sea a few weeks ago have moved a lot of sand and washed in huge piles of seaweed...

Interesting that the Go Pro HERO 4 Session camera picked up some nice light in the sky today.
Some film from on the coast,
Song is `Nylon` by Phontaine

Heading for home  through the woods and plenty of mud...

Home early for friends visiting and time to get the stove on...

More soon...
